A Walk In The Park

Waterfall on WCk3
Fallen Trees Prove No Barrier
Hang Gliders do it all the time.

Wongari is situated in the foot hills at the wilderness end of the Lamington National Park. Christmas Creek Road ends its run at the national park access. From there you can access a number of walks of varying difficulty. Guided walks offer more, even if they are relatively easy, as there is a lot you can miss  - and much to learn..

Apart from our gravel road itself we recommend Westrays walk to our guests. It is mildly difficult but manageable for the uninitiated. Westrays is the only one we would suggest as a non- guided walk. If you wished to do more challenging walks, like the Stinson's Plane Wreck (1937), Larapinta Falls, Mount Neglect or Buchanan's Fort, then we strongly recommend a walk guide.

Wongari is delighted to be able to recommend Teresa Cause from Horizon Guides to make any walk you wish to take enjoyable, informative and safe - a walk in the Park. Teresa is adept at adjusting her walks to the needs of those participating.

Based in Boonah at her camping store, Far Outdoors, Teresa can be contacted from her website.
