Arts revival in Lost World Valley
This exciting event is scheduled for four days from 27 to 30 September 2012 and is a joint initiative of BADCAP (Beaudesert and District Community Arts Projects), Lost World Gallery and Museum, and the Lost World Valley Community.
Workshops are planned in a small variety of disciplines including blacksmithing; textiles – embroidery, whip making, painting and sculpting with clay.
Tutors have been engaged. The workshops will range from three to four days duration. Details of workshops and costings have been finalised – you will find them under the workshop tab in each category. Bookings can be submitted online under bookings.
This venue is unique, as the Garden Hill at Lost World Gallery and Museum comprises a collection of historic rural sheds and commands spectacular views to the dramatic mountains of Lamington National Park.
A variety of accommodation options will be available nearby in the valley, ranging from pretty B&B cottages, Farm-stay accommodation and bunkhouse cabins to camping.
This event offers an exceptional opportunity to arts and craft workers, to develop skills in their chosen area of expertise over an extended time.
An Exhibition day, open to the public is planned for Sunday September 30th and work from students, tutors and visiting artists will be on display and for sale.
