Trees Across the Path

Climb to the top of Buchanan's Fort, it's on the other side of the creek and another 700m straight up Walk to Stinson's plane wreck (1937) or, on the way, stop off at Westray's grave and, if you are feeling keen, Larapinta Falls - it's definitely worth the four hour return walk. You could then check out the views from Mount Neglect or Point Lookout while travelling some or all of the Stretcher Track (survivors of the Stinson plane crash in 1937 were brought out this way).

Or rock climb our very own Waterfall Creek to Lamington Falls. A very challenging walk but well worth the effort and much more accessible now we have cleared most of the creek of weeds.

The walks are of various levels of difficulty and none are really 'formed' or maintained that well by National Parks but they are still passable depending on your own experience, level of fitness, choice of walk and, as always, keenness.

Swimming for All

Stroll the 6kms of dirt road that ends Christmas Creek Road and discover all the swimming holes as it winds its way to source in the beautiful and pristine Lamington National Park.

We have an enormous variety of birds (and butterflys for that matter) and many a guest has taken advantage of our location to do photography, record sightings and learn the sounds of some even rare and endangered species like the glossy black red tail cockatoo.
